Cape tribulation

Our award winning Daintree Restaurant has taken prizes for excellent food and service, and our Daintree Spa also offers a wide range of services to replenish and refresh. Rainforest ecotourism

Eco-tourism is popular in the area. 400,000 people visit the far north of Queensland each year, which can have a detrimental environmental effect, withy many visitors also going to the nearby Great Barrier Reef. Tourists may stay in nearby Cairns or Port Douglas and visit both the rainforest and the reef in the one holiday. We are mindful of their negative environmental footprint and take steps to keep our resort environmentally sustainable. Rainforest ecotourism

The Daintree Rainforest is a tropical rainforest near Daintree, Queensland, north of Cairns in the tropical region of Australia. It is the the largest continuous area of rainforest on the Australian mainland. Named for Richard Daintree, part of the forest is protected by the Daintree National Park and drained by the Daintree River.
It contains 30% of frog, marsupial and reptile species in Australia, and 65% of Australia's bat and butterfly species.

"Experience the Living Museum"

Two hours north of Cairns, across the Daintree River, lies one of the few unspoilt paradises left on Earth.
The only place in this World where two World Heritage listed National Parks join.
The Cape Tribulation section of the Daintree Rainforest is where the planet's most ancient rainforest, The Daintree, meets the Great Barrier Reef.

Follow in the footsteps of Sir David Attenborough who stayed here at the Heritage Lodge Resort while filming "The Life of a Plant". He described his time here in the Daintree as "one of the most magical experiences in my life".
